All changes in a nutshell:
This week there are 2 new features again. Videos can now be recorded directly on Memberspot without the need for an additional Loom account!
We are also introducing SSO and SCIM, so your employees no longer have to log in manually each time and can use one login company-wide.
Stands for Single Sign-On, this technique is used so that users of the admin area have a single login for multiple applications and no longer waste time logging in each time. A simple example is the login via Facebook or Google for different apps.
SCIM is a more open standard for automated provisioning of user accounts. It implements the automatic provisioning (creation in different systems) of user accounts.
SSO and SCIM are features that are relevant for Enterprise clients. With this feature, companies no longer need to manage members' logins in Memberspot. They are managed in a central location by the IT department. Memberspot can now exchange data with Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
An Active Directory is a company-wide directory in which you manage the accounts and accesses of every employee.Sounds complicated? The good news is, this feature is only relevant to you if you already have Microsoft Azure AD in use, or are planning to simplify login for all your employees company-wide. This doesn't only address larger companies, but can also be useful for smaller companies if you use a lot of systems or share logins within the company.
So let's move on to the "Record videos directly in Memberspot" feature.
This is how it works.👇🏽 (This video is currently only available in german.)
Open the Admin App and open a video lesson.
Click on the Start Recorder button. Now you can choose the layout. Webcam, Screen and Webcam & Screen are available as options.
Choose a layout. After that a dialog opens in the system language. Here you have to click once on the screen you want to record. Only with the option "Entire screen" the webcam will be recorded as well. After the 1st click on the screen you can select the share button.
After that, you need to click on the webcam again so that it is shown in all tabs.
Now you can start recording! 🎥 🔴
The videos are uploaded directly to Memberspot and also stored with DRM protection (if you have enabled it).
Single Sign-On and System for Cross-domain Identity Management are enterprise features. The functions are manually enabled by our IT department upon request for setup.
